Grocery and Checkout Manager

We are on the hunt for an experienced FMCG retail leadership professional whose heart is with team engagement and next-level customer experience.

Leading the Orakei Farro Checkout & Grocery teams, this role focuses on engaging and motivating the team to provide that all-important last impression to delight our customers, as well as ensuring that the shelves are fully stocked and beautifully presented. Working as part of a larger management team, this is an on-the-floor, lead-by-example role where team development and leadership is key.

You will be role-modelling your skills in customer care and issues resolution, merchandising, ordering, and stock management. An interest in quality food is a definite advantage in this role. A tertiary qualification in a related discipline would help you to understand the numbers and the bigger picture, so would be a big benefit. Leadership experience is highly preferred, as we want to hear how you would keep your team motivated and engaged.

The details

This full time role is based at our Orakei store and involves working 4 days per week, including at least one weekend day​.
